Irene Haggermaker, 86 of Athens, passed away on Thursday, December 10th, at her residence. Mrs. Haggermaker was born on February 24th, 1934 to Bob Lee Perry and Mary Richardson Perry in Limestone County.
Funeral services for Mrs. Haggermaker will be on Sunday, December 13th, 2020 at 1:30pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Al Pihringer officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 11:30am-1:30pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sandlin Cemetery.
Mrs. Haggermaker is survived by her children Nancy Pittman (Gene), Bobby Haggermaker (Reba), and Teresa Hatfield (John); 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; brother George “Buddy” Perry; sister Dorothy King; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband Clifton Edward Haggermaker; and sister Jane Perry.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Huntsville Downtown Rescue Mission or St. Jude’s Hospital.
