Florence Police Make Arrests In Two Separate Incidents Involving Theft

FLORENCE-On Friday, December 11 the Florence Police Department released a statement concerning the arrest of suspects in two different cases involving car break-ins and theft:
“December 9, 2020, Florence Police Officers responded to 2536 Florence Blvd. in regard to the report of a 1973 Dodge Challenger having been stolen. It was also discovered that multiple other vehicles had been burglarized on the property. Lundon Matthew Michael Meyers II (8/26/1995) was identified as the suspect. Meyers was located within a few hours and arrested. Meyers has been charged with Theft of Property 1st, Theft of Property 2nd,
Theft of Property 3rd, Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was taken to the Lauderdale County Detention Center and awaiting a $35,000 bond.
The stolen vehicle has since been located and returned to the owner.

December 10, 2020, Florence Police Officers responded to 3410 Chisholm Rd. to a report of suspicious people in the complex. When officers arrived, they discovered that multiple vehicles had been burglarized. Antawn Decarlo Thomas II (10/3/1998), Quinton Deshawn Jones (8/23/2001), and Kalop Lamar Siner (3/19/2001) were all located within a few minutes by Patrol Officers. Based on evidence gathered on scene, Mr. Thomas, Jones and Siner were arrested and charged with Unlawful Breaking and Entering a vehicle (X2) and Theft of Property 3rd (X2). They were taken to the Lauderdale County Detention Center. Mr. Jones and Siner were released on $7,000 bonds while Mr. Thomas is awaiting a $7,000 bond.

The investigations on both incidents continues and no further information is available for release at this time.”
