Bobby Gene Choate, 82 of Corinth, MS passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. There will be a private family service. Visitation will be Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – South. Mr. Choate was born September 22, 1938 in Corinth, MS to George Choate and Effie Alma Coffield Choate. He was of the Christian faith and was a retired steelmill worker. He loved fishing and planting a garden. Bobby is survived by his wife of 53 years, Susie Choate of Corinth, MS; his son, Bobby W. Choate and wife Kristy of Corinth, MS; his daughter, Kelly Choate of Corinth, MS; 2 grandchildren, Christina Choate and Rachel Choate; 2 great grandchildren, Anna Choate and Brandon Choate; numerous, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, George Choate; his mother, Effie Alma Coffield Choate; his brothers, Odell Choate, Huey Choate, Wayne Choate and Opal Choate; his sisters, Evelyn Smith, Alamae Cannon, Essie Mannes, Pauline Haynie and Sue Crowe (Bob).
