Funeral services for Mrs. Charlene Woods, age 82, are scheduled for 1 PM, Friday, December 11, 2020 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Central Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Woods passed away early Wednesday in Lexington. She was born July 1, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Victor and Charlotte Shimer Dewitt. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her grandchildren and working word search puzzles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Henry J. Woods and one grandson, Adam Belew. Survivors include her five daughters, Kathy Belew (Edward), Betty Davis (R. D.), Vicky James (Kenny), Arlene Weatherford (Stevie), and Charlotte Howard (Donald); fourteen grandchildren, Heather Allen, Gary Moore, Jr., Logan McCollum, Morgan McCollum, Meghan Helms, Madison James, Tina Weatherford, Anthony Weatherford, Ashley Coleman, Joshua Weatherford, Jacob Woods, Brandon Howard, Raven Howard, and Tristan Howard; and thirty-four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11 AM – 9 PM and on Friday, 8 AM until time of service. The family requests all visitors wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.
