Flossie Kathleen McDonald, age 87, of Red Bay, passed away on Friday, December 04, 2020 at her residence.
Kathleen worked for years as a sewing operator at Blue Bell. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-mother, who loved all of her family but especially those grandbabies. Kathleen was a member of Harvest Fellowship Church of Red Bay.
The visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 06, 2020 at Harvest Fellowship Church in Red Bay, with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Speaking at the service will be Bro. Walter Sparks. Burial will be at Walker House Baptist Church Cemetery in Fairview, MS.
She was preceded in death by her loved husband of 47 years, Silas Franklin McDonald; son, Frankie Ernest McDonald; grandson, Tony Ray Warren; parents, Bert McKinley & Willie Catherine (Godsey) Cox; siblings, Olen “Bus” Cox, Roland “Toad” Cox, Billy Bert Cox, Jewell Ballard, Susie Elaine Wooten, Epsy Josephine Watson, and Polly Marquiss.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Cathern Sparks (James), Richard G. McDonald (Kim), Kathy Louise Warren; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Lanice Lane Keller; brother, Leborn Soland Cox; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The pallbearers will be Andrew Houston, Ryder Johnson, Charlie Warren, Nic Warren, Ryan Krueger, and Phillip McDonald.
The family would like extend a sincere thanks to the nurses and staff of Kindred Hospice, especially Tammy, Whitney, and Jessica, for your love and care of our mother.
