Lura Ann Griffin, 81 of Athens, Alabama, died Thursday, December 3, 2020 at her residence.
Mrs. Griffin was born September 18, 1939 in Madison County, Alabama. She was a member of O’Neal Church of Christ, she was a homemaker and a Avon Representative. She was a active Community Volunteer.  There will be a 11am Graveside Service Saturday at Limestone Memorial Gardens with Guy McDaniel and Mike Richardson officiating.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Michael Harrison, Levi Pipes, Ethan Fuqua, Will Thompson, Rickey Harrison and Will Weir.
Honorary Pallbearers are Ashley Thompson, Kaitlynn Fuqua, Reanna Pipes, Glen Pressnell, Glendon (Hap) Easter, Tommie Smith Jr. and David Barnett.
Survivors: Husband, John Wesley Griffin of Athens. Daughters, Lisa (Charlie) Pipes of Lester and Tracie (Mike) Fuqua of Athens. Mother & Grandmother to, Wesley Harrison and Ashley Thompson, Grandmother to, Levi Pipes, Reanna Pipes, Ethan Fuqua and Kaitlynn Fuqua. Great Grandson, Will Thompson of Athens. Son-in-law, Rickey Harrison of Anderson. Several Nieces and Nephews who loved her, and several Sisters & Brothers-in-laws. Preceded in death by: Parents, Levi W. Weir Sr. and Mary (Mamie) Lou Weir. Daughter, Sherry Harrison. Brother, L. W. Weir Jr. Sister, Marjorie Weir.
