Graveside service for Rubye Dee Varner Thornsbury, age 74, of Trinity, will be Thursday, December 3, 2020, 2:00 p.m. at Burningtree Memorial Gardens with Rev. Pearl Jenkins officiating, and Shelton Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Thornsbury, who died Friday, November 27, 2020, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born December 25, 1945, in Louisiana, to Oscar D. and Virginia Varner. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Tyrone Thornsbury, and her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Thornsbury of Trinity; one daughter, Lynda Thornsbury of Harvest; three brothers, David Varner (Janet) of Decatur, and Billy McGrady (Peggy) and Donald McGrady (Gail), both of Sylacauga; one sister, Je’Ann Lloyd (David) of Jonesboro, GA; two grandchildren, Zakk Thornsbury of Moulton, and Elizabeth Peltola of Decatur; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
