Jo Ann Hambrick, age 73 of Decherd, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A native of Franklin County, she was born in Decherd on December 4, 1946 to the late Joe and Agazine (Hill) Thompson. Before her retirement, Jo Ann had been employed at Tepro. In her younger years, she participated in bowling league and grew flowers, especially enjoying her roses. As Christmas was her favorite time of the years, Jo Ann enjoyed watching Christmas movies on Hallmark, and also enjoyed watching wrestling. But most of all, she cherished the time spent with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ed Thompson, and Cecil Thompson. Jo Ann is survived by her loving children, William (Denise) Kimbril of Decherd, and Natasha (Devin) Hill of Estill Springs; grandchildren, Luke Kimbril of Decherd, and Keyauna Hill of Estill Springs; sisters, Flossie Sanders of Winchester, Linda Smith of Monteagle, Brenda Griser of Decherd, and Donna Cantrell of Monteagle; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Sunday, November 29, 2020 and from 12-2 pm on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, November 30, 2020 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
