Roy Edward Williams, age 88, of LaFayette, Georgia passed away Monday, November 9, 2020.
He was a retired ironworker from TVA, Local 704 of Chattanooga after 26 years of service. Following his retirement, he worked for the Roper Corporation in LaFayette.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Billie Jo Williams; sons, Willard Williams and Dewayne (Cindy) Williams; grandchildren, Zac Williams and Tyler Williams; great grandchildren, Zane, Mark, and Lydia; sisters, Roena Trammell and Betty Bates; brother, Robert Lee Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home in LaFayette, Georgia on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. EST.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. (CST) Friday, November 13, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fort Payne, Alabama, with visitation prior to the service after 12 p.m. (CST).
Interment at Mountain View Memorial Gardens in Fort Payne, Ala.
