Graveside services for Mr. Wade Thompson, age 70, will be held at 11 am Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 pm until 8 pm Monday, November 9, 2020 at Shelton Funeral Home. Appropriate social distancing protocols with masks recommended, will be observed as set forth by the CDC and the State of Tennessee.

Appropriate social distancing protocols with masks recommended, will be observed as set forth by the CDC and the State of Tennessee.The most beloved husband and father, Wade Thompson went to be with the Lord on November 5th, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Wade was born on August 5, 1950 to Albert and Isabell McKinley Thompson. In high school Wade excelled in football and later joined the Army National Guard. Wade married the love of his life Jane on May 22, 1971. They made their home in Trenton, where Wade and his brother Don were career farmers. Thompson Brothers farmed for 48 years.
Wade’s favorite pastimes were his horses, hunting, building furniture, tending to his yard, and
gardening. He was a life-long member of Bethany church of Christ.
Wade was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Isabell Thompson.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; daughters, Connie (Josh) Thompson, Emily (Ernie) Turner, and Amanda (Jason) Pickard; his loving grandchildren are Tristen, Quinton, Landon, Kynzie, Reece, Kyndall, and Brock; one great grandchild, Aydin; siblings are Lynn (Susie) Thompson, Don (Shelley) Thompson, and Alice (Curtis) Inman; and a host of nieces and nephews.
