Funeral service for Laverne “Shorty” Lemmond, 91, will be Friday, October 30, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Frank Bedford and Bro. Neal Fowler officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Gum Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, October 30, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lemmond died on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. She was born May 16, 1929, in Morgan County to Robert Clearnce Hardy and Esther Norene Hardy. She was employed by the Morgan County School System as a Bus Driver. She was a member of the Oak Park Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years: Marcus Paul Lemmond, her parents, a brother: Oneal Hardy and one sister: Yetalee McCutcheon.
