Katheleen Smith, 71, wife of Ed Smith, went to be with her Lord on October 19, 2020.
Born in Etowah, AR, she was the youngest of 5 children and daughter of the late Claude Daniel and Ora Mason.
Katheleen was a member of Choates Creek United Methodist Church where she grew in faith with Christ. She was always excited to participate in church activities when she was able. She knew her Savior Jesus Christ and would always sing hymns about His mercies and grace.
Katheleen was an amazing homemaker and spent 52 years loving her husband and built a life with him while raising their son, Creighton Smith. She loved people and never met a stranger. Her love for God’s creatures, other than snakes, was a leading feature of her daily life.
Despite circumstances, good or bad, Katheleen always tried to put her best foot forward. She enjoyed life while living in many parts of the country. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed singing and dancing with them. Her love, joy, and beautiful smile will be remembered.
In addition to her husband and son, she is survived by two sisters, Emma Martin of Caraway, Arkansas; Jewel Harris of Caraway, Arkansas; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Creighton Daniel Smith; her two brothers, Larry “Buddy” Mason and William “Willie” Mason.
The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Choates Creek UMC, in care of Jimmy Thompson at 220 Race Track Road, Pulaski, TN 38478.
