Mrs. Maude Marie Burgett, age 85, of Arab, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Marshall Medical Center.
Mrs. Burgett was born in Ohio to the late Cecil & Florence Cox. She worked as a clerk typist for NASA and retired in 1974. Maude was married to the late Grady Burgett who passed in 1996. A passion of hers was the Arab Senior Center, where was a very active member. Mrs. Burgett enjoyed passing time by completing crossword puzzles, coloring and reading books.
Mrs. Burgett will forever by remembered by her son, Ray (Judy) Burgett; daughter, Novie (Paul) Burgett; grandchildren, David Burgett, Michael (Jennifer) Burgett, Erik Roberts, Tabitha Roberts; great grandchildren, Dylan Young, Dane Burgett, Ellie- Nora Roberts; host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband Mrs. Burgett is preceded in death by her grandson, Jason Hornbuckle, brothers, Glen Cox of Bristolville, OH, Eddie Cox of Middlefield, OH; sister, Anna Mae Booth of Bristolville, OH.
