Gay S. Payton of Huntsville died on Oct. 11, 2020. She was 90 years old.
Mrs. Payton grew up in Nashville, TN, but spent most of her life in Huntsville as an English teacher. She taught at Huntsville High School for eleven years and at Lee High School for twenty-one years.
She is survived by her son, Michael Payton of Huntsville; her brother, L.R. Satterwhite of Brentwood, TN; two nieces; and two nephews.
A private interment for family only will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery.
