Betty Jean Glass, 82 of Arab passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020. Betty was born April 25, 1938 in Blount County the daughter of William Pumphrey and Hestell Campbell Pumphrey. She worked at Floral Design before her retirement and was a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. She was married to the late Grady L. Glass.
She is survived by her Children: Melinda Hollaway (Buddy) of Arab, Cheryl Mayer of Arab, Tommy Glass of Snead, Claudia Stephens (Glenn) of Morristown, TN and Kim Hargraves (Dr. Robert) of Guntersville. Brother: Glenn Pumphrey (Doris) of Jasper; Thirteen Grandchildren and Eighteen Great Grandchildren with two on their way.
Graveside Service will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 12, 2020, at the Hopewell Cemetery with Brother Ennis Stone officiating.
Pallbearers: Dustin Stone, Colby West, Lance Coker, Landry White, Jacob Burns, Tim Dunn and Ayden Middlebrook.
Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Monday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers to please make donations to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
