William “Bill” Nappier, 88 of Union Grove, the Union Hill Community, passed away Friday, October 2, 2020, at his residence. Bill was born August 17, 1932 in Morgan County the son of William Thomas Nappier and Etha Champion Nappier. He was a Korean War Veteran and served his country proudly in the US Air Force for over 10 years. He was a member of the Union Grove Grand Lodge of Alabama for 63 years and also a member of the New Canaan Baptist Church. He was married to Peggy Sullivan Nappier for 69 years at the time of her passing on September 14, 2020.
He is survived by his Daughters: Deborah Daniel (Dewey) of Union Grove and Sharon Freytag (Kenny) of Seabrook, Texas; Son: Warren T. Nappier (Peggy) of Union Grove; Brother: Wallace T. Nappier (Frances) of Union Grove; Host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Great Nieces and Great Nephews. He was preceded in death by Grandson: Keith Parker.
Graveside Service with Military Honors will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2020, at the New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery with Brother Eldridge Criscoe officiating with Gober Funeral Chapel Directing.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 noon Friday, October 9, 2020, at the New Canaan Baptist Church.
