Mr Poarch Eugene Kirkland, 88, passed away Wednesday, September 30th, 2020. He was born July 17th 1932 and was a lifelong resident of Grant. He was retired from Redstone Arsenal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wade and Vera Poarch Kirkland; two brothers, Augustus and James Thomas; and three sisters, Julia Opal Pence, Ivanell Windsor, and Margie Norris.
Mr Kirkland is survived by his wife of 65 years, Annette; two sons, Ron and Greg Kirkland; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
The family has chosen private services with burial on Friday, October 2, 2020.
New Hope Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
