Joyce Ann Bright Ward, age 72 of Henderson, passed away September 30, 2020 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah.
She was born March 24, 1948 to the late James Vernon and Beulah Threadgill Bright. She graduated from Beech Bluff High School in 1966. She was a homemaker and Baptist in faith.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Ann “Missy” Ward; two brothers, James Bright and Billy Joe Bright; and one sister, Virginia McKay.
Joyce is survived by a daughter, Carey Barham (Clint) of Jacks Creek, TN; a son, Barry Ward (Ginger) of Henderson, TN; nine grandchildren, Andrew, Cody, Starr, Brianna, Kaylynn, Cheyenne, Kayla, Ashleigh, and Jacob; four great grandchildren; sisters, Patsy Frye and Christine Bishop, both of Jackson; and a brother, Jerry Paul Bright of Rockvale, TN.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday, October 2, 2020 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the South Chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with funeral services following at 1 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Mount Pleasant Cemetery at Beech Bluff, TN.
