Graveside services for Mr. Heflin Junior “June Bug” Spivey, age 79 of Lineville, were held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. at Clay County Memory Gardens with Rev. Mark Kytan officiating.
Mr. Spivey passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Lineville Health & Rehab. Born in Clay County, June Bug lived in Talladega for 45 years before returning home.
He is survived by his sister, Evelyn Mitchell (Ray) of Ashland; four stepdaughters: Remonia Morrison (Clayton), Andra Hiles (Roy), Brenda Somers (Tom) all of Talladega, and Marie Whitten (Ronald) of Cropwell; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Maddox Spivey; his parents, James Heflin Spivey and Susie Lee Thrift Spivey; his sister, Syble McDaniel; four brothers: Wilburn, James, Roger and Kenny Spivey; and his stepdaughter, Annie Tyler.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.
Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville is in charge of the arrangements.
