Wanda Jo Politte passed from this life on Saturday, September 26, 2020, while living at Briarwood Community Living Center in Lexington. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Nell Johnson Politte and Ralph James Politte. She is survived by cousins, Erby Randall Sullivan (Alberta), Dickey Vaughn Sullivan (Terri), Ron Johnson (Cindy), April Fulgham (Bobby), Carmen Jordanco (Steve), and Jimmy Johnson (Carol). Wanda was born and lived in St. Louis through the 11th grade. After relocating to Memphis, Tennessee, following her father’s death, she graduated from Kingsbury High School in 1970. Wanda enjoyed attending church, listening to good music from Elvis Presley to gospel quartets, being among family, and laughing with friends. She had a sweet and joyful personality and generous heart and could keep her caregivers in stitches. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, especially her adoptive family – the staff and caregivers at Briarwood where she resided for the last decade due to health limitations.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1 pm, Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Duke Cemetery in Darden, Tennessee.
