D.9.23.20 Williams Jennings.jpg William Floyd Jennings, 92, passed peacefully on September 12 at his daughter Felicia Jennings- Guinn and son-in-law’s home in North Carolina.

He is also survived by son Gerald Jennings (AK), grandchildren: Mikayla Daniels (WA), Nicole

Guinn (NC), Jeremiah Jennings (AK), Shawn Jennings (MN), Seth Jennings (CA), Autumn

Severson (TX), 17 great grandchildren and siblings, Dale Jennings (AL), Katie Jennings (AL),

Linda Cooper (OH), and Sue Payne (AL). He was preceded in death by his wife Daisy, father

Austin, mother Veta, sister Lurline DeBell, and brothers Billy Van, Donald, and Austin Shelby.

Floyd and his wife Daisy’s adult lives were guided by their relationship with God. They were

ordained ministers of the Assemblies of God Southern California District. Floyd was raised in

Valhermoso Springs Alabama and survived the Great Depression years by hunting, fishing,

gardening, picking cotton and selling moonshine.

He graduated from Cotaco School. Then he attended Coyne Electronics School Radio

Electronics Division in Chicago. He graduated from Coyne in 1946, then he joined the Army Air

Force. He worked in communications support for the Berlin Airlift as WWII was wrapping up.

While in Europe he was personally led to Christ by Billy Graham in 1947. He met Daisy in Paris

and they started dating in 1949. They were married in 1950 in Canton, Ohio.

Floyd worked for the Federal Aviation Agency (CAA) where he helped maintain the Instrument

Landing System at Anchorage International Airport. He retired from the FAA.

While in Alaska, the family homesteaded a 160 acre parcel near King

River. Throughout his life he hunted, hiked and ATV’d at every opportunity.

He lived near and was very involved with his children and grandchildren. He was a beloved

father figure to his younger siblings as their own father passed early.

Throughout his life in Alaska, he was very active at Muldoon Community Assembly and went on

mission trips around the world—including trips to Burkina Faso, Russia, Thailand, and the

outback of western Australia. He was a caring man and was always ready to lend a helping

hand. He helped build several homes. His influence and example led many to follow Christ. He

is dearly beloved.

Teague Severson, Reuben Severson, Tyler Jennings, Issac Jennings, Elliot Jennings, Ethan Daniels, Warren Daniels, Liam Daniels, Owen Daniels, Aiden Jennings, Ezekiel Jennings, Ian Jennings , Lucy Jennings, Liana Jennings, Rinoa Cameron, Soren Cameron, and Emrys Cameron.
