William Lewis “Doug” Glaze, Sr. was born on October 2, 1944 in Haleyville, Alabama. He spent most of his years moving from Haleyville to all over Florida and then back here again. He finally came back to stay in 1992 and remained until his peaceful passing at his home on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at the age of 75.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. where the eulogy will begin at 7:00 p.m. Brother Sherman Kimbrough will officiate.
Doug is survived by his daughter, Trena Glaze; grandson, Lake Dougey Glaze; brothers, Gary Aaron, Tim Glaze, Terry Glaze, and Lee Glaze; and sisters, Vella Glaze Rogoski and MaryBeth Glaze Gray.
He was preceded in death by his son, William Lewis Doug “Dougie” Glaze Jr.; mother, Christine Easter Tidwell Aaron; father, Garvin Glaze; stepfather, Daniel Franklin Aaron; brother, Raymond Ray Glaze; and sister, Rachel Ann Glaze Lay.
