Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Carol Magyar, age 77 of Decherd.  Mrs. Magyar passed from this life September 16, 2020 at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, AL. She was a native of  Diana, TN in Giles County.  She attended Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Decherd for many years.  She had a heart of true charity, always in support of the less fortunate.  She will be remembered as an animal lover and an avid collector of stamps, coins and anything else that caught her eye.  She loved baseball, fishing, antiques and both contemporary and Southern Gospel music.  Mrs. Magyar is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Evadean Erwin Wolaver and her father, William Steger Wolaver.  She is survived by her husband of 56 years, John J. Magyar of Decherd; her daughter, Teresa (James) Beeh  of Lebanon, TN; sons, Mark Magyar of Decherd and John B.(Monica) Magyar of Lawrenceville, GA; sister, Janelle (Johnny) Mitten of Killeen, TX; grandchildren, Lissa Stevens of Nashville, Chris Massey of Lebanon, TN, Makayla Magyar and Elijah Magyar, both of Lawrenceville, GA.  The family will receive friends at Watson-North Funeral Home Saturday September 19 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.  The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Deacon Philip Johnson officiating.  Interment will be at Watson-North Memorial Park with friends and family members serving as pallbearers.
