Funeral services for Veda Mae Forrest, age 74, will be held at 2pm Friday, September 18, 2020 at the Chruch of God in Trenton, TN with Marilyn Vaugh officiating. Burial will follow in New Haven Cemetery at Ridgely, TN. Visitation will be held from 4:30 pm until 8:30 pm Thursday, September 17, 2020 in the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel and on Friday September 18, 2020 from 10 am until service time at 2 pm at Church. Appropriate social distancing protocols with masks recommended as set forth by the CDC and the State of Tennessee will be observed for all services.
Mrs. Forrest, a homemaker and member of the Church of God in Trenton, passed away on Sunday September 13, 2020 in the Dyersburg Hospital in Dyersburg, TN.
Mrs. Forrest was preceded in death by: her parents William Henry and Besty Jane (Cayton) Keeley ; her husband W.C. Forrest; a son Jason Forrest; and a grandson Mason Killingsworth.
Mrs. Forrest is survived by: a daughter Wanda and Husband Scott Vowell of Gates, TN; a sister Juanita Cornelus of Gatewood, MO; two brothers Dewey and wife Linda Keeley of Memphis, TN and Bill Keeley of Walls, MS; four grandchildren Ashley Brooke Forrest of TX, Blake and wife Hayle Criswell of Dyer, TN, Siara and husband Dexter Criswell of Gates, TN, and Rylea and husband Dakota Inman of Kenton, TN; and four great grandchildren Jase Inman, Ayson Killingsworth, Kyun Killingsworth and Draven Quick.
