Mrs. Sherry Dean Stone, age 68, of Dora, AL passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020 peacefully at her home.
Sherry was born in Empire, Alabama to Willodene Tubbs and the late Melvin Chester Tubbs on January 4, 1952. Sherry graduated from Dora High School and completed her education at Jefferson State College as a Registered Nurse. For over 45 years, Sherry cared for her patients as a Registered Nurse in Walker County at Community Hospital and Walker Regional Medical Center, and truly loved to help those in need. Sherry was a member of Empire Church of God for 38 years and Sumiton Church of God for the past 30 years.
Surviving Sherry is her mother Willodene Tubbs and her brother, Richard (Karon) Tubbs; daughters, Lindsay (Brad) Rice and Brooke (Jeremy) Winkler; grandchildren, Sam Rice and BayLeigh Handley.
Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Chester Tubbs and her loving husband of 44 years, Donald W. Stone in 2018.
