Arrangements for Mrs. Janice Rena (Cowen) Lane Mills, age 59, of Decatur, who died Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, will be announced by Shelton Funeral Home when available.
Mrs. Mills was born July 5, 1961, in Guntersville to Clayton Cowen and Jonnie Pendegrass Cowen. She was preceded in death by her son, Bradley Allen Prater, husband, Danny Kell Lane, and her parents.
She is survived by her husband, James E. Mills of Decatur; two sons, Jeffrey Lynn Prater of Birmingham, and Shannon Thomas (Cathy) of Boaz; one sister, Lisa Thomas (Edward) of Guntersville; and five grandchildren.
