Lois Baker White, 86, of Huntsville passed away Sunday at her home. She was born in Huntsville to William H. Baker and Mollie Lewis Baker. She graduated from New Market High School as their Best All Around Female Senior in 1952, after which she studied at the University of North Alabama.
In 1957, she married her lifelong love, Laudrey E. White. They began their adventures in Auburn, AL, but their lives would take them many places.
Lois spent many years as a real estate agent in Huntsville. After retirement, she most enjoyed traveling with her husband. She and Laudrey traveled to Europe, China, Alaska, South America and Central America. They were always together and always full of life and happiness.
Lois loved with her whole heart, and family was everything to her. She also loved watching birds, entertaining, good jokes and Auburn Football. Her wit along with her sarcasm always lead to a good laugh and her laugh couldn’t help but light things up for all those around her.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Bill and Herschel. She is survived by her husband, Laudrey White; son, Todd White and wife, Tammy; daughter, Melody White Campbell and husband, Joel; and grandson, Ryan Douglas.
Due to the pandemic and desire to protect family and friends, a graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 11 at Maple Hill Cemetery with Brother Bobby Burt officiating. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
