Thomas E. Hughes, 90, of Huntsville, passed away Monday, August 31, 2020.
He was a member of West Huntsville Church of Christ for many years. Thomas was a retired veteran of the U.S. Army. He served in World War II and the Korean War.
Thomas is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Anita Hughes; his parents, W.T. and Ellen Hughes; brothers, Leon Hughes, Herman Hughes, Billy Hughes, Eugene “Bud” Hughes, and Franklin “Chigger” Hughes; sisters, Margie Cothren, Mary Hobbs, and Earline Hughes. Mr. Hughes is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Beecham, Myra Edmondson (Tim), and Rita Bohannon (Cheyney); five grandchildren, Chad, Tracy, Joshua, Lindsey, and Danielle; eight great grandchildren; sister, Gail Colbert; brothers, James Malcolm Hughes and Bobby Hughes.
A graveside service will be held Friday, September 4th at 1 p.m. at Huntsville Memory Gardens with Paul Owens officiating.
