Patsy Marie Peden, age 70, of Decatur, AL passed away at home after and extended Illness on Thursday, August 27, 2020. Patsy was part of the J & S Home Family for 9 years and was loved and cared for there daily.
Patsy had a lot of things she truly loved in life…county and gospel music, being pushed around in her wheelchair, eating sweets, going for rides in the van and going on outings with the other clients at her home, to church, restaurants and to the shopping mall.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Grace Christian Baptist Church in Greenhill, AL. Funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. with burial following at Union Grove Cemetery in Greenhill, AL. Pastor Rod Stansky will be officiating the service.
Patsy is survived by her only sibling, Larry E. Peden (Darlene), Florence, AL; her aunts, Heather Williams (ML), Roanoke, AL and aunt, Dana Gentile (Zachery), Trussville, AL; her uncle, Lee William Peden (Tia), Killen, AL and many more nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jessie Fields, Lee Peden, David Wright, Michael Darling, and Keith Davis. Honorary pallbearers are care givers/staff at J & S Homes.
Patsy was preceded in death by her dad, Willie E. Peden in 2010 and her mother, Shelby O. Peden in 2013.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Jessie and Sheila Fields and all of her caregivers who tended to her every need. Ya’ll are a blessing and will never be forgotten. Also a thank you to Decatur Morgan General Hospital for their excellent care provided.
