Earl Herrick of Smithville, formerly of California, age 84, passed away August 27, 2020 at his residence. He was born July 9, 1936 to his parents the late Adrain and Lorena Henderson Herrick. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son, Steven Herrick; daughter, Debra Ranirez. Mr. Herrick is retired from 3M Company where he worked as a supervisor and he loved fishing and hunting, he also served in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife Connie Herrick of Smithville; son, Scott (Joan) Herrick of California, daughters, Stephanie (Mark) Wisterman of California, Renee Songer of Smithville, and Dawn Farris of California; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Lyle Chrysler of California; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family has honored Mr. Herrick request to be cremated. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
