Jimmy “Jim Dog” Wright, age 77, of Dora, AL passed away, Friday, August 21, 2020 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Wright served our country in the Army National Guard, was a retired roofer and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved the Crimson Tide. He was a caring husband, father, paw-paw and friend. He is preceded in death by his Momma and Daddy Wright, three brothers, five sisters and his granddaughter, Shelby “Shelb-Shelb” Speegle. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Randa; daughters Angela Freeman (Rex), Tammy Holforty (Jared), Denae Davis (Billy) and Shanda Crane (Ryan), ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The funeral service will be held at Bethel Baptist Church on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 2pm. The family will receive guests from 12-2pm. Burial will be in Bethel Baptist Cemetery. Bro. John Foles officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in honor of Jimmy Wright to Hearts in Hand: Special Needs Ministry at Bethel Baptist Church.
