Russell Harmon Payne, age 77, of Haleyville, AL passed away August 18, 2020 at his residence. He was a retired Heavy Equipment Mechanic and served in the United States Marines.
Visitation is Saturday, August 22, 2020 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville with funeral service at 2:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow in Ireland Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Eloise Kelley Payne: children Jim Woodard of Haleyville, AL., Keith Woodard (wife, Kelly) of Haleyville, AL., Robert Payne (wife Barbara) of Dallas, GA.: sisters and brothers, Margie Gossnell of Crawfordsville, Indiana, Rosie Chatman (husband Dennis) of Vacaville, California, Joseph B. Payne (wife Judy) of Rockford, Illinois and Denny Payne of Montana: 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: father, Eddie Payne and mother, Annie Payne; mother-in-law, Bertha Kelley;father-in-law, Will Kelley; daughter, Belinda Thrasher; sister, Nancy Russell; brothers, John Payne and Edward Payne; great-grandson, Clint Key.
