Susan Rebecca Blasingame, age 74, resident of Spring Hill, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at her residence.
Private graveside service will be conducted 3:00 PM Monday, August 17 at Maury Memorial Gardens with the chaplain of Avalon Hospice officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Born April 12, 1946 in Louisville, KY., she was the daughter of the late Dr. Edgar Raydell Cooper and Berta Mae King Cooper and survived by her beloved husband, Jerry Blasingame, of 55 years. She taught special education and langue arts for Grassland Middle School in Franklin for 20 years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her loving pet, Gracey.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son: Clint (Kim) Blasingame of Huntsville, AL; daughters: Amy Carter of Spring Hill and Katy Blasingame of Nashville; sister: Deborah Cooper of Spring Hill; grandchildren: Ian, Renae and Claire Blasingame, all of Huntsville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Raydell Cooper and Wilbur Cooper.
