Patsy Sue Jay Conner, age 83 of Empire, passed away on Tuesday August 11, 2020 at her residence. She was born on November 27, 1936. She was an active member of Dora Church of God for over 50 years.
Funeral services will be Sunday August 16, 2020 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Lewis Smith and Rev. T.J. Millican will officiate. Burial will follow at Dilworth Church of God cemetery. Visitation is Saturday night 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Conner; parents, Rufus and Lena Jay; grandson, Jason Conner; daughter-in-law, Yolanda Conner; son-in-law, Fleming Lukela; brothers, John E. Jay and Mickey Jay; and sisters, Jean Gamble, June Wallace and Lila Farr.
Survivors include her daughters, Kim Burgess (Tony), Deborah Lentz (Steve) and Terry Lukela; son, William L. Conner, Jr.; grandchildren, Brian Lukela (Lauren), Scott Williams (Kristen), Shannon Williams, Bryan Creekmore, Candace Baker, Michael Lentz (Heather), Jeremy Lukela, Keleka Tucker (Anton), Shawn Conner and Cory Conner; great grandchildren, Kobe, Baleigh, Jalyn, Nalani, Dylan, Ciara, Ryan, Audrey, Isabella, Haley, Kelia, Braxton, Blakely, Henry and Jace; brother, Donald Jay (Joan); sisters, Jane Howard, Rita Hamrick (Bruce) and Sandra Yow (Jimmy); many other relatives and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Scott, Shannon, Michael, Shawn, Kobe, Ryan, Jeremy and Bryan.
