Services for Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Newell, age 74, will be held on Tuesday August 11, 2020 at 2 pm in the chapel of Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home with Steve Skelton officiating, burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Humboldt, TN. Visitation with the family will begin at 10 am on Tuesday August 11, 2020 until service time in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home chapel, with Covid-19 restrictions including social distancing and mask recommended.
Mrs. Newell a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Trenton, TN and former employee of Wilson Sporting Goods, passed away on Sunday August 9, 2020 in the Jackson-Madison Co. General Hospital at Jackson, TN.
Mrs. Newell was preceded in death by; her parents Cratus and Vadie (Younger) Moore, a sister Marilyn Tosh, a brother Larry Moore , and a great granddaughter Blakely Kate Simpson.
Mrs. Newell is survived by: her husband Herman Ray Newell of Humboldt, TN; a daughter Cindy and husband Marty Whitaker of Jackson, TN; a step daughter Denise Bettie of Gibson, TN; two brothers Ray Moore and wife Geneva of Savannah, TN and Jimmy Moore and wife Carolyn of Humboldt, TN; five sisters Emily Keen, Rachel Hall both of Hanvoer, IN, Ann and husband Bill Williams , Brenda Rainey, and Doris Williams all of Savanah, TN; two grandchildren Whitney Simpson of Humboldt, tN and Chandler Whitaker of Jackson, TN; two step grandchildren Matthew Bettie of Gibson, TN and Kristin Cupples of Medina, TN; a great grandchild Anisley Simpson and two step great grandchildren Addyson Cupples and Landon Bettie.
