John Waymon Davis, 77, of Double Springs entered into rest on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at his residence.
He was born June 18, 1943 in Haleyville, Alabama.
A graveside service will be Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Double Springs. Brother Mitch Nethery will officiate.
Waymon is survived by his wife, Galoria Snoddy Davis; daughter, Jane Childers and her husband, Richard; granddaughter, Era Childers; grandson, Robert Childers and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Fannie Davis; sisters, Bea McKissack, Ruth Sides and Alice Kuykendall and brother, Joe Davis Jr.
