Mrs. Minnie Lee Savage JohnsonThe English vocabulary is bound with precise and prosaic measurement. Hence three words of solemnity that all but envelop every man, woman, and child are Life, Death, and Eternity. Life indeed is more solemn than death; to live is more serious than to die.

Mrs. Minnie Lee Isabell Johnson elected to honorably labor on the King’s highway throughout her life until she found complete rest in her heavenly Father’s arms. Missing already her megawatt smile which shall remain a great joy forever will be her loved ones’ special memory of “Min.”

Mrs. Johnson was born and raised in Jackson, TN. She was the youngest child of the late Mr. Charlie Isabell and Mrs. Mozella Hicks Isabell. Mrs. Johnson’s siblings preceded her in death, Mrs. Mary Helen Jones, Mr. James Wade Isabell, and Mrs. Hattie Beatrice Jones.

Her mother, Minnie and her three siblings were members of Macedonia Baptist Church pastored by Reverend S.M. Jackson in the late 1930s. Minnie faithfully sang in the senior choir during her adult years. Here she remained over two decades until she relocated to Bells, TN where she married the late Mr. Russell Johnson. The couple was happily married for many years until “Mr. Russell’s” passing. During her residency in Bells and Alamo, she became a faithful member of Cherryville Road Church of Christ, the late Bro. Alex Tucker.

Mourning Mrs. Johnson’s passing are three children: Stanley Lee Savage of Atlanta, GA; Tommy Leonard Savage of Memphis, TN; and Patricia Marie Whiteside of Jacksonville, FL. She had two children to precede her in death, Bennie Ray Jones and Angelyn Yvonne House. Mrs. Johnson had a host of grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Most special in her life shall always remain Bobbi Lee Jones, of Jackson, TN, Minnie’s older sister’s child.
