Billy Dan Greeson Sr. Billy Dan Greeson Sr., age 87 of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. He was born on January 25, 1933 in Clifton, Tennessee to the late C. Parker and Montague (Shipman) Greeson. Dan retired as an engineer from AEDC. He earned his pilot licenses in the early 1950’s and was a member of the EAA 699 club where he held the position of chapter president. He was a faithful and devoted Christian baptized at the age of 41. He served as elder at Little Mountain Church of Christ for many years. In his spare time you could find him fishing at the lake, camping with his family or flying his plane. Dan will be remembered by his family as a man with great faith, a wonderful role model, and having wisdom and love to share with all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Myra Greeson; siblings, Charles Lemuel Greeson and Frances Lorraine Williams, and son-in-law, Mike Matheny. He is survived by his daughters, Joni Lynn Cunningham (Tony) of Estill Springs and Sharon Leigh Matheny of Antioch; sons, Billy Dan Greeson Jr. and Gary Dale (Christie) Greeson, both of Winchester, and Charles Marvin Greeson (Brandi) of Madison, AL; and grandchildren, Rachel Lynn Cunningham, Justin Dale Greeson, Caitlin Dawn Curlee, Markus Ryan Matheny, Brandon Patrick Greeson, Maecey Jordon Pearson, Amber Paige Newberry, Thomas Allen Matheny, Cammie Melae Greeson, Jonathan Michael Tilley, Logan Wayne Pepper, Kaylee Grace Pepper, Blake Faulkner and Grant Faulkner. Visitation will be from 2-4pm Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with funeral service following at 4pm with Bro. Cody Michael and Bro. Andrew Lamica officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens with Justin Greeson, Markus Matheny, Thomas Matheny, Wade Pearson, Jonathan Tilley, and Logan Pepper serving as pallbearers. Brandon Greeson, Blake Faulkner, Grant Faulkner and Rob Curlee will serve as honorary pallbearers.
