Sherry Lynn Schaffer James, 61, of New Hope, passed away Wednesday.
Sherry’s virtue of LOVE represented human kindness, compassion, and affection, as the unselfish loyal and concern for the good of another’s. Sherry was a selfless person who put others before herself. She had a heart of gold, leaving great memories for family and special friends. She loved the LORD with all of heart.
She was preceded in death by father, Robert John Schaffer, mother, Hodgie Ernestine Schaffer, husband, Randy James, step sister, Kathleen Feliz, step sister, Cynde Long, and step daughter, Stacey Paseur Whorton.
Surviving are brother, John Joel (Teresa) Schaffer, nephews, Jesse, Tiffany and Donnie, step daughter, Sharna Kennamer, step grandchildren, Levi and Logan, step daughter, Maranda Theriault, god son, Bradley (Ramona) Warden and god granddaughter Zoe Nicole Warden, god daughter, Tosha (Adam) Webster and god granddaughter Blakelynn and god grandson Gus Webster, step sister Jeannie Kennedy, step sister, Terry Howard, step grandchildren, Layne McElyea, Kasie McElyea, Payton McElyea, sister-in-law, Kathy James, nephew, Joseph Jones, brother-in-law, Ricky James, special caregivers, Sherell Lynn McCrary Maples and Teresa Schaffer. Many special friends!
Visitation will be Sunday 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday at 2:00 pm with Bro. Doug Browner and Bro. Jay Schug officiating.
Interment will be in the Brown Cemetery.
