Body Found In River Identified As Russellville Man…Somerville Man Charged With Murder

MORGAN COUNTY-On Wednesday, July 22 the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department were investigating the death of one person near Bluff Landing in the Tennessee River.  the body has been recovered and identified as David James McCluskey, 54 of Russellville.  Mcluskey had been shot according to the autopsy results.

Morgan County Sheriff’s Office issued the following statement regarding the homicide:

“On Wednesday, July 22 a body was found with a gunshot wound in the Tennessee River at Bluff City Landing.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division worked around the clock to develop a suspect and make an arrest.

On Thursday, July 23, 2020 Investigators arrested Bobby Daryl Hamblen, 59 of Somerville charged with Murder.

Hamblen was arrested at is home and transported to and booked in the Morgan County Jail. Bond pending.

Arrests are public information. Any indication of an individual’s arrest does not imply they have been convicted of a crime. All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”
