Mr. Robert Earl Morton, age 88, of McMinnville, TN died Monday, July 13, 2020 at River Park Saint Thomas Hospital. He was born on September 09, 1931, in Warren County, TN to the late Robert Morton and Rosie Whitworth Morton York. He was retired from Magnetek, attended Bethel Hill Baptist Church, and served his country with the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Morton was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Dean Morton, great granddaughter Kenley Raine Morton, 2 brothers, and 5 sisters.
He is survived by his sons Jeff (Lisa) Morton and David Morton, daughters Wanda (Brenice) Wright, Teresa (Jerry) Honeycutt and Connie Morton, 9 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, and family friends also survive.
Graveside services were conducted July 15, 2020, at Shellsford Cemetery. Bro. Jeff Lea officiated. Interment immediately followed the service. Military Grave Rites were administered by American Legion Post 173.
