Clyde Wilburn Johnsey of Curry passed away Tuesday, July 12, peacefully at home at the age of 90.
A private family graveside service will be held, officiated by J.D. Dickerson.
He was born on October 26, 1929 and lived in Curry his entire life. He worked at the A&P grocery store for many years progressing to Manager and remained there until the store was closed. He started working at First National Bank and finished his career there. Working was his hobby. He always had three gardens and worked in them all the time. When he wasn’t working in the garden, he was on his lawnmower or on the tractor and in the woods. He loved his family, Church, being with people, his dogs and cats and always had them with him when he was outside.
He was preceded in death by his father Grady Angelo Johnsey, mother Myrtle Lee Lay Johnsey, and sister, Shirley Loavell Johnsey Carey Goforth.
He is survived by his Wife of 70 years, Nettie Drummond Johnsey, daughter, Glenda Johnsey Wilson (Wayne), Son, Phillip Clyde Johnsey (Regena), Grandchildren, Chad Brandon Wilson (Andrea), Haley Wilson Moore (Stephen), Mandy Johnsey Brown (Scott), and Jared Phillip Johnsey (Jessica) , Sister, Brenda Johnsey Butler (Billy) all of Curry. Great Grandchildren, Hunter Lee Wilson, John Andrew Wilson, Ava Reese Brown, Adyson Scott Brown, William Owen (Liam) Moore, Ryley Catherine Moore, Kinley Elise Moore, Willow Kate Johnsey, and Fletcher Jared Johnsey.
