William Terrence "Terry" Brooks William Terrence Brooks “Terry” left this world on June 29, 2020 at his residence. He was 60. Graduating a year early from Hixson High School in 1977, Terry immediately left Chattanooga and joined the United States Navy. He returned to his howetown of Guntersville in the mid 80’s. He was a generous man and was always willing to help those in need. Terry coached soccer for several years through the AYSO and also gave back to the community through his work with the Jaycees Organization. He was an avid collector of coins and arrowheads. Terry was an enthusiastic Alabama fan who loved sharing stories, photos from the good old days, and throwing darts with his grandchildren, daughter and nephew, Blake. He will forever be remembered for his huge heart and loving smile. He will be missed immensely by many and loved for always. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Margaret Brooks and brother Timothy Brooks. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Bischof and son in law, Markus Bischof; grandchildren, Jackson Winters, Colette Bischof; his sisters, Susan Brooks, Melanie Jackson; nephews, Blake Jackson, Jason Brooks and his niece Brooke Frazier. Terry was a supporter and donor for St. Joseph’s Indian school for many years. Any donations in his honor can be made at stjo.org.
