Diane Mize Burcham, 70, of Tuscumbia, AL passed away on July 01, 2020 after an extended illness. A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 05, 2020 at 2p.m. in Colbert Memorial Chapel. Brother Ted Vafeas will officiate the service.
Diane was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a previous member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church and was a devout Christian. She loved her family, feeding her hummingbirds, and watching her grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, Orbert and Laverne Mize; brother, Granville Faye “Sam” Mize; and sisters, JoAnn Mize and Dorothy Sue Attkisson.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert Leon Burcham; daughters, Rachel Vess (Gary) and Brittney Burcham; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, London, and Kyler; brother, Randall Mize; as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas Johnson and the entire staff at Clearview Cancer Institute, Dr. Clarke, special nurse Patina, and the entire Alliance Cancer Center staff, as well as Kindred Home Health. Thank you all for the special care rendered to our precious mom.
