Richard “Ricky” McClendon Wyers, age 50, passed away after succumbing to cancer on Friday, June 19th, 2020 at his home in Sipsey, AL. Ricky was born in Tuscaloosa, AL to Richard Wyers and Sandra Thoms. Ricky enjoyed working on firearms and cars as his main hobbies. He was an extremely hard worker, working early in life as an auto body shop owner and working later in the chicken farming industry. Ricky was always kind hearted and selfless, helping his family and friends in any way they needed. Surviving in addition to his parents are his brother, Michael and his wife, Angela; sister, Katie and her husband, Nate; two nephews, Benjamin and John; and one niece, Lydia. On his father’s side of the family he is also survived by uncles, Donald and Woodrow; and aunts, Patricia, Valerie, and Nancy. On his mother’s side of the family he is also survived by his uncle, Randy and his wife, Nita. Ricky will also be remembered by his best friend, James Dueitt. Ricky will be greatly missed by all who knew him. There will be a small private funeral for close family and friends only due to COVID-19.
