Mary Lou Weddington Rowland, age 79 of Decherd, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Michigan on September 13, 1940 to the late Willie and Mae (Whaley) Weddington. Before her retirement, she was employed by Wilson Sporting Goods in Tullahoma. Mary Lou enjoyed watching game shows, fishing, playing cards, and working crossword puzzles. She was a devoted member of Way of the Cross Baptist Church and cherished the time she spent with her church family. In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, George Rowland Sr; brothers, Edward Weddington, George Weddington, and Robert Weddington; and sister, Frances Weddington Durham. She is survived by her loving sons, George (Connie) Rowland Jr of Huntland, Cheyenne (Alicia) Rowland of Winchester, Troy (Tawny) Knoer of Tullahoma, and Michael (Nina) Knoer of Tullahoma; sisters, Maggie Fanning of Huntland, Betty Bates of Indiana, and Lucille Swift of Tullahoma; thirty-five grand and great-grand-children; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 22, 2020 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro.
