Funeral services for Mr. James “Boots” Douglas, age 73, are scheduled for 2 PM, Saturday, June 6, 2020 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Farmsville Cemetery. Mr. Douglas passed away Tuesday. He was born May 25, 1947 in Henderson County to the late Carl and Beatrice Birdwell Douglas. He was a carpenter and enjoyed hunting and riding horses. He loved spending time with his family and friends and talking to people. He was preceded in death by his son, Chris Douglas; four brothers, Henry, Carl Jr., Freddy, and Eckar Lee Douglas; and one sister, Mary Hendrix. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Brenda Jones Douglas; two sons, Shannon Douglas (Michelle) and Michael Douglas (Jennifer); three daughters, Sharon Cary (Shan), Carla Montgomery (Michael), and Melanie Douglas; his brother, Richard Douglas (Linda); two sisters, Shirley Lewis and Betty Douglas; daughter-in-law, Beneshia Douglas; eleven grandchildren, Morgan Douglas, Trent Davis, Zach Davis, Brandon Douglas, Corey Douglas, Madison Douglas, Dylan Douglas, Justin Douglas (Desrai), Brittany Douglas (Ricky), Carrie Stanley (David), and Macie Climer; and eleven great grandchildren.
