Roy Glenn Sutton, age 63, of Spruce Pine, passed away on Monday, June 01, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Roy worked at Tiffin Motor Homes and was a devoted Alabama fan. He never met a stranger and his smile always lit up the room. He loved being a dad to his girls and loved being PaPa Roy to his grandchildren.
His visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 03, 2020 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 04, 2020 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Bobby Stancil officiating. Burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gooder & Janette (Johnson) Sutton; and his grandparents.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Beth Morgan (husband, Zack), Allie Sutton; daughter of the heart, Kayla Voyles; grandchildren, Calvin Sutton, Zoie Morgan; siblings, Linda Murray, Jim “Boo” Sutton, Diane (Wayne) Welborn, Mary (Chris) Gonzalez), Wade (Tanya) Chaney, Jody Chaney; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The pallbearers will be Jimmy Winstead, Buddy Cook, Joel Uptain, Brent Gonzalez, Trent Gonzalez, George Johnson, Ronald Fretwell, and James Butler. The honorary pallbearers will be Jim “Boo” Sutton, Zack Morgan, and Rickey McAnally.
