James R. Fisher, 91, of Huntsville passed away Saturday at Floyd “Tut” Fann State Veterans Home.

He was born and raised in Oak Hill, Ohio. After serving in the U.S. Navy he moved to Huntsville to be closer to his family.

Survivors include daughter, Gloria Coggin and husband, William (Bill) Coggin, Jr.; sons, Donald Fisher of Kingsport, Tennessee and Thomas Fisher of Church Hill, Tennessee; and five grandchildren, Homer, Sarah, Will, David, and Melissa.

No services will be held at this time. The U.S. Navy will hold a ceremony at sea.

Jim loved Jesus and his favorite Bible verse was John 3:16, “FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVED IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.”

Cards and condolences may be sent to Gloria Coggin, 3010 3rd Avenue, Huntsville, Alabama 35805 or HarvestforJesus@yahoo.com .
