Evelyn Mae Moore Morris, age 93 of Winchester passed away on Friday May 15, 2020 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System in Sewanee. A native of Franklin county, Mrs. Morris was born on June 24, 1926 to the late Walter and Lucy Hillis Moore. She was a dedicated homemaker and also worked with her husband handling the books through the many jobs he had. Mrs. Morris was an avid gardener that loved to spend time outdoors, planting and tending to her plants, and mowing her farm. She loved to talk to anyone about anything and everything. Mrs. Morris will always be remembered as being high spirited, generous, fun, and able to make the best fudge candy. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her Husband, Mack Morris; son, Jerry W. Morris; sister, Edna Kelley and Ider Stewart; Brothers, James Moore, Charlie Moore, and Roy Moore. She is survived by her sisters, Lucille Garner of O’Park, IL, Alline Rogers of Winchester; brother, Don Moore of Decherd; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. Monday, May 18, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 P.M. with Bro. Rudy Wilkerson officiating. Interment will be held at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
